Project evaluation

All those involved in the Active Clubs programme are committed to delivering a quality, safe and fun after-school physical activity programme for children and young people. To help achieve these goals, the British Heart Foundation National Centre has completed a series of Active Club evaluations.

Phase 1 (2003/2004)

Since its launch in 2002, Active Clubs has completed 2 phases of Active Club Tutor training. The first evaluation was completed using participant information from the phase 1 Tutor training days. Click here to access this evaluation.

Phase 2 (2004/2005)

The Phase 1 evaluation report highlighted a number of key issues, which were addressed in the design and rollout of phase 2 regional Tutor training. A second evaluation report was produced which examined the effectiveness of these changes, not only at Tutor level but also how they cascaded down to those receiving locally focused Active Club Pack workshops. Click here to access this evaluation.

Phase 3 (2006/2007)

In order to establish the current situation and identify any potential development, a wider evaluation of the Active Club Pack has recently been completed. Click here to access this evaluation.
