The Active Club leader training was embedded into the degree programme BA (Hons) Children’s Physical Education. It was placed within the module Understanding Health, Fitness and Nutrition in Children.
Students underwent the training as part of this module and then were given the remit of setting up and running an Active Club in groups of three in an allocated school.
